Principal Gustafson & the Administrators from Breakthrough North had the honor of presenting at the Magnet Schools of American conference this April! We were so excited and proud of our schools! Both campuses earned the Merit Award of Distinction and were invited to present on their character theme and student leadership opportunities within their schools.
The presentation at the Magnet Schools of America Conference focused on all of the pillars of BRICK (our character acronym) , specifically on empowering students to be the leaders of their learning! During the presentation, we showcased our student goal setting, minds in motion enrichment opportunities, the serious readers program, community service-learning opportunities, Royal Scholars, Women's Empowerment Club, Student Council and community partnerships with 2-4-1 Sports and Unified Sports. We were honored to present on our commitment to having students take ownership of their learning and positively contribute to our school community and the world! At Breakthrough, we know we can make a difference!
